Fjords For Sale

There is no such thing as a "safe horse". Anything can happen when working around these magnificent creatures, however, the confidence and peace of mind that comes with knowing that your child or loved one is riding a Fjord is priceless. The Fjord's reputation as a gentle mount is well earned and it is no wonder that they are the breed of choice for therapeudic riding programs, and beginner's riding programs. At Chehalem Mountain Ranch, our Fjords are family raised, meaning they each receive individual attention and training. Occasionally we have some to offer for sale. The following are a few that we are offering at this time.

Ljufvina '01 Registered Norwegian Fjord mare mare

Ljufvina is a 2001 registered Fjord mare at 13.1 hands. She is a Gjest great-granddaughter out of imported stallion Onald. She is a gorgeous mover with beautiful carriage. Very athletic and playful, she will steal your heart. Would make an ideal dressage prospect. Walk, trot, canter under saddle, side passes, haunch and forehand turns. Very light in the bit, high headed. Ljufvina loves attention and will shine with the right person.

Lillja, above right, is a 2001 Registered Norwegian Fjord mare willing to please. Lillja has a lot of trail experience and has the calm temperment Fjords are known for. She walks, trots, canters under saddle as well as sidepasses, and haunch and forehand turns. Lillja was in the 2005 Grand Floral Parade and has other parade experience. She was the top ground training filly at the 2003 Hillsboro County Fair. CMR Nikolina, 2007 filly out of CMR Mista by Erlend. Registeration pending.
